I dreamed for years of two Portuguese watches from IWC: the chronograph and the perpetual calendar. I didn't buy the first one because until recently, it wasn't equipped with a manufacture movement, nor the second one because it was too expensive for me. And one day I fell for this automatic model. Like all Portuguese watches, it is very elegant, very easy to read, sober, tasteful. Very practical 7-day power reserve, balance and harmony of the dial, very pretty movement (beautiful weight of the automatic winding). But I admit that I don't feel much emotion when I wear it (rarely). Of course the power reserve is impressive, but does it justify such a thickness? And then the watch is very light for its volume, I always have the impression of having a pale fake copy. It's stupid, but this impression persists with each new attempt. I've been wearing it a little more recently, to see if this impression, this lack of emotion persists, and I have to say that I'm a little more seduced: its proportions and balance are really impressive, the dial and the blue hands are beautiful... it's perhaps a question of time. I'm keeping it for now and forcing myself to frequent it more than before, to see if we find each other...
