Here is a watch without any pretension, except that of reviving the memory of a loved one who left too soon! Resurrected after a rediscovery and cleaning, this Nappey Besançon from the 80s in 33 mm is powered by a Swiss quartz movement and has the look of an oysterquartz Rolex. Generally hostile to two-tone, I am nevertheless seduced by this model whose gold plating has patinated to the point of disappearing in places. Never mind the spots of oxidation visible here and there, because the sharp shape of its case, its comfortable bracelet and its perfectly preserved dial make it a vintage watch with a modern look. I am happy that the story of this “men’s” watch continues most of the time on my wife’s wrist.
