Why customers love Swatch?

Being a fan of the Speedmaster that I intend to buy one day, I hesitated for a long time to get this Moonswatch from the prices offered on the internet until I came across an ad with for once a price identical to that asked in store and what's more in hand delivery so I said to myself, let's go for it and so for a few days now I have been the owner of this iteration of the Speedmaster. Apart from that the watch is pretty but you can see that it is not made to last over time and that it is therefore a disposable watch. That said it does the job and pleases my nephew enormously to whom I am thinking of giving it and who knows, it might make him want to buy a real Speed in a few years.

Here is a watch that doesn't pay for mine! I was in an outlet in Germany, and there was the whole collection of Automatic diaphane at a really great price... so I bought them all! Here is the one I wear most often. Not the most discreet, all plastic or almost! The visible movement, super reliable! Apparently it is irreparable but for the moment (almost 20 years that I have them), none have let me down!

As soon as I heard about this project, I thought the idea was awesome! So, there was no way I wasn’t going to buy one! But impossible… the first day in the store between rue de Sèvres and rue du cherche midi, there was no point in even trying… I had given up on the idea of having one, until I found it in Montreal! Only 3 models available. Pink, red and this magnificent blue that is ideal for summer! I love it! And you know what? It made me buy an Omega afterwards… they succeeded, with me at least!

This is the oldest Swatch that remains in my collection after having had during my adolescence refined models but which were "funky" for the time and in smaller diameters. Here is a souvenir watch with no other value than sentimental and that I generally never wear! So to talk about it on this platform? Precisely to share that the memories and emotions that go with a watch have neither brand nor price ... and that Swatch will always remain a passage in my personal history in search of the next watch. This Swatch would have been a LIP, a Yema, a Flik Flak depending on the generation (mine being Swatch) it would be exactly the same thing! The little Swatch of Proust in short ...

Watch given in 2000 by my wife 25 years ago and still functional. I wore it frequently for almost 8 years but since then it has been stored in my watch box and it very rarely returns to my wrist. After weeks of suspense and waiting on the internet and then in store I got it !!!!!! What an incredible marketing stunt. In the end I hardly wear it ha ha But it's my wife who enjoys it. It's light and looks smaller than its 42 advertised diameter. Especially in black and with a tropic strap (mandatory change) I've had it since the launch and so far everything is fine. Apart from the scratches on the glass which is a bit cheap. The one from the swatchxblancpain has since been better made. Well nice this little moon but hey I prefer the real speed. Irreplaceable.

I had already fallen for the Swatch x Omega collaboration and despite the less hype I admit that the collaboration with Blancpain is a notch above. The perceived quality is better, the mechanical movement visible through the back is very nice. And the rendering on the wrist is classier while remaining sporty. The range of colors is very questionable so I went for the blue first and then the black. I don't regret it. Very nice rendering. To wear to the office or on the hurdy-gurdy. Nice alternative to a Swiss watch without risking death on the street corner. Obviously, as with the moonswatch, a change of strap is necessary which will increase the budget a little more. The price remains a little high for plastic...

Another gift. Maximum emotion because it was a gift from my darling. It is a fun and unpretentious quartz watch, "artists" collection: the dial reproduces the great wave of Kanagawa, a print by Hokusai, a somewhat forgotten figure of impressionism. Despite what we hear about Swatch (plastic watch, quartz, etc.) we must admit that it is a good model that can go anywhere. Disadvantage: the quartz movement is extremely noisy...Impossible to sleep in the same room as my watch! That is also why I rarely wear it, and only when I am in a noisy environment (restaurant, concert, etc.) or outdoors. Too bad because for the rest, it is perfect.

Bought for my dad, this Swatch is fun because hidden behind, small goldfish which is my dad's astrological sign and decorated with a tartan, to remind him of his love for England. Now, it is part of my collection because my dad is no longer here. It is a watch that has an importance for me because it was the last gift I had given him.
