I bought the Serica 8315 GMT after falling in love with it at a watchmaking evening dedicated to the brand. The passion of the creators and the unique DNA of these watches really won me over.

I don't regret this purchase; it is unique. Its design is inspired by classic watchmaking codes, but reinterpreted and modernized.

The enamel dial of this watch has an incredible and magnificent depth. The absence of a logo, the refocused indexes that help to visually fill the space. Everything is coherent and reinterprets the codes.

I would say that I just need a good steel bracelet to complete it.

On the technical side, the watch is equipped with an ETA VALJOUX 7753 movement.
This Swiss chronograph movement is renowned for its precision and reliability. It is equipped with 27 Jewels and beats at 28,800 A/h.


YEMA RALLYE ANDRETTI LIMITED EDITION

This is a particularly elegant pilot's watch.
I like the story it tells. It reminds us that at the beginning of the 20th century, aviation pioneers wore Longines. This is only part of Longines' rich, almost bicentennial history.

Technically, it has good specifications considering its price.
It offers beautiful finishes alternating between brushed and polished.
The assembly is impeccable.
The crown is imposing, confirming the pilot's watch side.
The sunray blue dial is detailed.
The indexes are applied and luminescent.
The brand logo and the 5 stars are also applied.
These 5 stars mean that this is a model that has benefited from particular attention to chronometric precision. Longines has been using them for a long time.
Even the railway is well worked with recesses to make room for the small diamond at each hour.
The case back is quite ordinary.

As for the movement, it is efficient and certified as a chronometer by the COSC.
It is the L888.4, oscillating at 25,200 vibrations per hour with a silicon balance spring and equipped with a 72-hour power reserve.

The original bracelet is pretty with a clasp with a butterfly buckle.


A tribute to the spirit of aviation pioneers!

As I said in the title, this is my first automatic watch. I chose it in 2020 because it was within the budget of 1000€ that I had set for myself. I wanted a pilot's watch because I have always found these watches impressive. Quite elegant but at the same time functional with their large dial opening and linked to the history of aviation. This one in particular pleased me a lot because it has a more modern side in its design than classic pilot's watches. There are reflections on its dial that are impressive whether it is the black background or the finely striated indexes. The day in English at 12 o'clock and the date at 6 o'clock are symmetrical from left to right, which I appreciate. The fact that it is in English recalls the American side of the brand's origins. The good metal bracelet reinforces the sporty and modern side of this watch. On the back, the apparent movement of this watch fascinated me when I bought it. Additionally this watch is worn by Matthew McConaughey in the movie Interstellar.

My first automatic watch

This watch is a reissue with some changes of the Fiyta watch that accompanied Taikonauts (Chinese astronauts) into space from 2008.

It is a tribute to the watch worn during the first extra-vehicular activity by a Chinese in 2008.

Fiyta watches have officially been the watches of the Chinese space program since 2003.

They have undergone exactly the same certification tests as the Speedmaster at the time of NASA.

The difference on this reissue compared to the original that went into space is a reduced diameter from 54 to 44 mm, a grade 5 titanium case and an 18 carat gold insert.

The last difference, which is hidden, concerns the movement.
The movement that equipped the Taikonauts' watch was manufactured by Fiyta.
For this one, Fiyta chose to use a Valjoux 7750.
Reliability, robustness, it is a very famous Swiss movement.

The finishes of this watch are perfect, beyond all its characteristics.
The grade 5 titanium parts are perfectly machined and even the buckle is of high quality, although it does not have a quick adjustment.

The integrated bracelet quickly dives towards the wrist, which makes it easily wearable despite its imposing size.
It is also relatively heavy despite the titanium (150 grams).

I find this watch very impressive for its price, with very good quality and real legitimacy.
In addition to having a second space watch in my collection next to the Speedmaster, this is what made me fall in love.

A space watch!

The Tudor Black Bay 58 Navy Blue was a real favorite for me from the moment it was launched. This favorite never went away, and after two years of reflection and following the sale of a Black Bay 41mm, I finally decided to buy it.

I really like this watch, especially for its wearing comfort thanks to its 39 mm diameter, its 47.6 mm lug to lug and its thickness of 11.9 mm.

Its vintage design, which draws its inspiration from the 50s, combined with the distinctive Tudor blue shade and the "snowflake" hands characteristic of Tudor since the late 60s, pays elegant homage to the history of the brand.

Beyond its retro aesthetic, the mechanical heart of this watch is resolutely modern. Equipped with the Tudor MT5402 movement, it offers remarkable performance, with a power reserve of 70 hours, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a precision certified by the COSC. It is even regulated with an even finer precision, of -2/+4 seconds per day.

All this is all the more remarkable when you consider that its price remains well below €5,000.

Perfectly versatile!

This is a very nice chic sports watch from the little-known brand in Europe, Fiyta.

It has a very well finished case with alternating brushed and mirror polished finishes.

It has a sapphire crystal and an open case back.

The dial is sunray blue with shades of gray in the reflections.

The indexes are well worked and there is a date window at 3 o'clock.

The movement is a Miyota F9015.3 automatic. This is a version developed exclusively for Fiyta, who is their biggest customer.

The bracelet is integrated and has a nice drop going from 23mm to 18mm in width at the buckle.

This is an excellent watch at the price of €450.

A Sport-chic from Taikonaute!

Yema was created in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont in Besan&ccedil;on in France. It became famous for its sporty and robust watches made in France and in particular the Yema Superman which in 1963 became the first French watch waterproof to 300 meters. It's one of those watches that you discover on platforms... Especially when you're in full lockdown... my birthday is coming up... and I said to myself... but I can treat myself to a nice watch... without leaving my house!!??? Living in Madrid, the idea of having a watch 🇫🇷that's not sold in my area!! Waaaah, size 39, domed glass, "huge" trapezoidal chrono markers... black off-white contrast... Once again, if it had been a 41... I wouldn't have bought it... "Who buys Westons in 44 when they wear a 41????? » not me… same for watches… to hell with this “stupid” fashion for huge watches… This Yema, a brand that I confused a bit with Timex… nothing to do with it, Yema created in 1948, with a real history of divers and sports watches at the 🇫🇷… a quality mechanism inside… quartz… but at 180€ starting price at that time… which I lovingly “PaulNewmanéized” by customizing its bracelet… this watch has a crazy look… especially dressed in black.. a bit rock’nroll…. Yema is showing a creativity currently that I find many big brands currently lack…. To be continued….

Cravings for 6263 Big Red à la Bebel…thwarted….

I present to you my YEMA Rallygraf panda...I really like this sports watch. The time measurement functions of this Seiko VK64 hybrid movement are powered by a quartz caliber while the timing function is controlled by a mechanical module that allows the second hand to have a continuous movement for a better feeling of clarity. (Meca Quartz)... In addition, the chronograph second hand has a red tip for better readability of its performance. Hour and Minute sub-counters in homage to the design of vintage racing car dashboards. Designed for motor sports and speed, the Rallygraf bezel in tachymeter scale allows you to calculate your average speed over a given distance. Matte-finish aluminum bezel for a retro look.

The case back is distinguished by the historic YEMA coat of arms, struck with a hydraulic press with a polished/brushed effect in relief. The hands and indexes are coated with a layer of Super-LumiNova BGW9. The Rallygraf therefore offers perfect readability in the dark. The Rallygraf's steel mesh bracelet has been made of Milanese mesh for greater flexibility and finesse. The clasp is engraved with the historic YEMA logo and adjusts quickly and very easily. The dimensions are: DIAMETER I THICKNESS I LUGGS 39 mm / 11 mm / 20 mm ... K1 double dome mineral glass with 2 mm thickness with a water resistance of 100m ... Retail price 400 euros.



Ma YEMA Rallygraph

An iconic design that Yema has been able to modernize. Very skeptical when it was released, I had to have it in my hands to see the multitude of details on this original case. 39mm but a substantial thickness that gives it a nice presence on the wrist. The oscillating weight is very present, often perceived as a drawback of the Valjoux, but which takes on its full meaning in a chrono with motorsport DNA. My little touch, a vintage-style rally-type bracelet that tapers nicely to the buckle.

24 hours on the wrist

My wife owns an A112, so you can imagine that when I discovered that Yema was releasing an Autobianchi watch, I could already see myself showing off behind the wheel, watch on my wrist, and driving gloves. For the watch, it was easy, all I had to do was buy it. However, for my wife to lend me her little hot rod, that's another story!
Knowing the French watch brand, I didn't think I would be disappointed. Moreover,
given the photos available on the Internet, I really like the watch. I had the option of pre-ordering it on the official Yema website. However, I don't know about you, but personally, I like seeing the model, holding it in my hands, and feeling the materials. So I looked for retailers offering this model. However, I quickly realized that this model, being limited to 200 pieces, is almost impossible to find.
I was lucky enough to come across it in a very large Parisian store and therefore to add it to my collection. The first thing you notice when you take the watch in your hand is its solidity due to the weight of the watch. You can feel that it is robust and of quality, without being too heavy on the wrist.
The round case in brushed aluminum effect stainless steel, 42mm and 13mm thick, has a fixed bezel with a tachymeter scale. In a very pretty blue reminiscent of the colors of the famous Autobianchi rally, the bezel is very readable and graduated up to 400kmh (in Autobianchi?!). Added to the side is a silver crown featuring the Y of the French manufacturer, unlike other watches, you are not afraid that it will stay in your hand when setting the time and date. It is not like the buttons or controls of the A112 that you press gently to avoid drama.
The silver steel push buttons are very handy and work perfectly. The stopwatch can be started and stopped with a firm gesture without having to press it again or force it.
On the back of the case is the Yema coat of arms, which reflects the attention paid to the smallest detail.
The watch is sufficiently water-resistant (100 meters). The watch appears quite busy visually. Indeed, the emblematic dial in this limited edition contains a lot of information: tricolor bands, logos, color schemes, etc. So let's take things one by one.
The color of the bezel and dial remind us of the famous rally car: the famous "celestial blue" and "lipari blue" (called "blue of the cup" by A112 enthusiasts) and contrasts with the white of the indexes.
On the left, we find two tricolor bands in the colors of the French and Italian flags, which represent both the collaboration between the French watchmaker and the Autobianchi Club de France, and the one between the Frenchman André Chardonnet (vehicle importer) and the Italian car brand. The latter's logo is located at 12 o'clock. 
Then you have the famous two dashboard-style counters, characteristic features of the Rallygraf, one for the chronograph minutes and the other for the hours in 24-hour mode. When I look at these counters, I feel like I'm driving the Italian. With their small silver needles, they take up the design of the car counters. It's really very successful. 
In addition to the Autobianchi logo, there are also those of Yema and the Rallygraf model (the two checkered flags) which mark the separation between the two counters. It couldn't be more complete! 
What may seem cluttered and illegible is actually quite clear. The hands, due to their size, make the information very readable. A small disappointment concerning the movement, we would have expected a French movement for a watch designed and assembled here but we find a Myota OS21. This Japanese movement remains reliable and robust. Let's now discuss my favorite: the bracelet. I am a real fan of Rally bracelets, that is to say the perforated leather bracelets, and this one is really superb.
The perforated blue leather bracelet with blue stitching turns out to be very comfortable to wear and of very good quality. It certainly brings a touch that is both vintage and sporty which, it must be said, suits it perfectly. Usually, I change the bracelets on my watches very regularly but this is not the case. It is perfect. It is difficult to find better.
The silver pin buckle and Yema stamped finishes the sporty style. In addition, the bracelet is also made in France in a Besançon factory.



Yema "Autobianchi"

A nice chronograph with a style resolutely from the past of French motor sports. Yema is trying to make a strong comeback on the market and despite some struggles, has managed to make a place for itself and this little chronograph is part of their entry-level range which is nonetheless qualitative. Here, we have a nice mecaquartz bicompax chronograph with date, the fully polished case and the domed mineral glass give a style straight out of the past. 2 trapezoidal counters to change from the very classic round counter, a red-tipped chronograph hand and a tachymeter scale with the most beautiful effect and all underlined by the 2 small checkered flags to affirm the automotive heritage of this watch. The watch comes with a perforated leather carrying pouch to change from the traditional box which ends up in a cupboard after opening. The well-made steel bracelet adds even more to the retro heritage which nevertheless hides a modern hybrid movement which works wonderfully. I regret however the absence of a small second to make the watch more lively outside of the moments when the chronograph is running.

A neo-retro French chronograph

I really like this Yema watch which is emblematic of the brand and which refers to car racing and the Michel Vaillant comic strip...it has a Quartz movement but it is a watch with a Seiko V64 Mechanical hybrid quartz caliber at 32.768 Hz frequencies, brushed aluminum tachymeter bezel.



Petite sportive

I wanted this mecaquartz rallygraph only for its aesthetics. I love the shape of the chronographs which, when viewed under a magnifying glass, look like wooden deck blades on a boat. The blue reflection around the glass is great. The clasp of the Milanese bracelet is not great and not very secure. The second hand creates an illusion with its frequency, but I don't activate it.

A panda at the wheel

It was my first at Yema, size 39 mm and I am very happy with it. Top delivery! The watch box is actually a quality storage case which is very practical when you want to travel with several watches, therefore very useful. I dealt with Yema's customer service and they were very responsive about my request and were able to react very quickly. The support was completely taken care of by them. Sending a courier to come and collect the watch, follow-up... It was great!!

Concerning the watch, what attracted me first was its design which was very pretty, the two white inserts on the dial which are of a different color and shape give it a charm. In addition, its domed glass is very pretty and brings a nice touch to the watch. What I also liked was its Meca Quartz movement that I discovered and I wanted a watch with this type of movement, because I found that it was a little out of the ordinary.

For a watch at this price (350/400 E), the quality and finishes are correct. I received it with a Milanese strap, but I never use it, I prefer the rubber strap which highlights the watch more, I find. This strap is a rather simple rubber plastic strap, nothing exceptional, but it does its job.
So it's a nice little chrono that makes an impression.
