Why customers love Orient?

I present to you my Orient Mako 2 automatic that I like a lot, it is very comfortable to wear, Orient is a Japanese brand that is a cousin of Seiko, this Orient is blue but it is also available in black or pepsi... the blue dial is magnificent and in the sun it changes color with variations of the most beautiful effect, it is a diving watch with a screw-down crown and an F6922 movement... its diameter is 41.5mm with a thickness of 13mm and a lug width of 22mm... the watch has a power reserve of 40 hours, however the glass is mineral. its price is 280 euros.

This watch has a mirror-polished steel dial. The blue dial offers a lot of information, while remaining elegant. Indeed, in addition to the time, this timepiece is equipped with a date, a sunburst day of the week indicator and a day/night window that gives its name to the watch, while taking up the aesthetic of the moon phases that can be found on more expensive models. This Orient Sun and Moon nevertheless remains graceful, despite the number of information displayed, thanks to the Roman numerals and the very thin white hands, which stand out perfectly against the blue. For some, the visible screws, as well as the cut Roman numerals, can be defects but this is not my case.

The case of this watch is made of brushed steel. On the other hand, the bezel is polished. I particularly appreciate this model for the beautiful harmony that reigns between the cream dial, the applied Roman numerals and the blued hands. Even the date with a white background and the absence of a logo on the crown do not manage to alter the irrepressible charm that emanates from this timepiece. Finally, this Orient is sublimated by a magnificent domed glass. The only two drawbacks to report are the solid back and especially the original bracelet which is, it must be said, of poor quality. Nevertheless, I find that this watch is one of the most endearing in my collection.

Wanting to acquire a new red watch, I set my sights on this Orient Bambino, which has a date, a day of the week indicator and a day/night indicator. Already in love with my previous Bambino, which was simpler, I wanted to buy this new model which is better finished, as evidenced by the logoed crown, as well as the open back, which was not the case with my other timepiece. Its burgundy dial is particularly elegant and having so many complications for so little money is really great! The only downside is the original strap which was not worthy of the watch head and which therefore had to be changed.

I present to you my Orient Kamasu which is a Japanese automatic diving watch, I chose at the time this pretty watch for the very special color of its dial a pretty mix of green and black and for its original bezel which is green from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock and the rest is in black, Orient is an exclusive subsidiary of the Seiko manufacturer and as I have a huge weakness for Japanese watches I had to have this watch which came out after the mako 2 and I do not regret my purchase. Its diameter is 41.5mm its dial width is 13mm and it indicates 20 atm

There is, in the basement of a hotel in Kyoto, a superb little shop selling vintage watches. The manager and his employee do not speak a word of French. The negotiation was going to be difficult but I was planning on leaving the shop with this superb Orient from 1965 (+/-)! I liked its look, simple, efficient and so classy! Add to that the NOS condition (a characteristic of the Japanese market? I have only seen watches in fantastic condition there!) of the piece and its fluted crown to obtain a wonderful souvenir of an unforgettable trip. Communication with the shop staff was not easy, the manager explaining to me that the watch had not yet been serviced and that he refused to sell me a watch that he was not 100% sure of! Finally, I won and this dressy piece makes my weekends happy, when I am not wearing my older, sportier watches. A simple Japanese timepiece with a crazy charm and a history that I won't soon forget!

It's again a purchase of love at first sight, pleasure, that's why I fell for this numbered anniversary model, certainly more expensive, but which also offers more visually compared to the Mako range. It has everything I like and more, the textured dial in gradient blues similar to the undulation of the ocean, a pattern that is reminiscent of the Omega Seamaster from before 2006. The applied indexes that in this context could serve as ships. The Arabic numerals at 12, 9 and 6 have other shapes and make it easier to read the time. The gold accents on the hands provide an interesting contrast, I deplore a little the absence of a touch of color for the tip of the second hand, it looks a little more "wise" like that. Finally the unidirectional bezel in black PVD aluminum (which could split), with black and blue insert graduated up to the 20-minute marking which comes to align with the Anniversary Edition inscription on the dial which dissipates the minute marking at this location. Inside the F6922 movement, 3HZ, 40 hours of power reserve and the day and date complications at 3 o'clock with a double window very elegantly integrated into the dial with an outline that takes the light well. In terms of precision I observe that I am within the tolerances (-15 / +25) of the movement with about 1min10 more after a week of daily wear, so about 10s per day. The dimensions of the case may seem impressive with 41.8mm without the crown and 46.8mm from lug to lug, and these 12.8mm of very correct thickness. It may be the black PVD of the bezel that refines it, it seems smaller and is worn a bit like 39-40mm, even if you are not from the Thanos wrist team like me, you have to try it. For the moment I have only worn it with its steel bracelet, with 22mm between lugs common to the models, I have not yet obtained a bracelet in these dimensions, with the colors of this timepiece there will be a lot of possibilities to dress up the watch. I am thinking of a black and blue diagonal weave NATO with a beige central line for example. The bracelet is correct, it could be a little better if it was a little thinner at the buckle, we are on 22mm all the way and the buckle which is a simple pressed fold, with a double security: two push buttons to release the clip and a flap. Overall I am won over by this proposal from Orient, it is the blue one in my collection until one day a Seamaster joins it.

Rose gold case; champagne guilloché clou de Paris dial; magnificent day/night indicator (which earned it its name "Sun and Moon"), more than enough to make lovers of open hearts fall in love. F6L24 movement from Seiko which for my part is only -2s/day! The only thing that can put you off are its imposing dimensions: 42mm in diameter and 13mm thick, and the two screws that some find coarse but which for me provide a reminder of the mechanism that can be seen at its heart.

Orient from my collection, I acquired it a couple of years ago ordered from Japan, reference RA-AS0103A10B, rare in Europe, open heart dial with day/night window, the dial is exceptional I have no words to describe it, it is in blue mother-of-pearl and has more or less deep pink/yellow blue reflections in short I can't explain it you have to see it in real life. We forget to look at the time sometimes I look at it at least 4 or 5 times before really looking at the time 😂. Magnificent watch I never get tired of it.

I had a red Orient Kamasu for 2 years that I loved to wear and I came across this new version with a magnificent smoked dial and beautiful vintage-style indexes, I couldn't help but fall for it. The design is obviously reminiscent of the Submariner but the color gives it a fun side that makes it authentic, it has its own signature. As for the specs, it's just perfect, it's waterproof and resistant, the precision is honorable and the comfort is there. The price positioning is really excellent.
