This watch from the Samara factory, which was originally a military munitions factory, is quite remarkable for its combination of opposing elements. The small second at 6 o'clock has only four markers and the minute hands have blue reflections. It is a mechanical Pobeda watch specifying "sdelano v SSSR" (made in USSR). Wearing vintage watches necessarily means putting in parallel eras that were not originally made to be together. The post-war Pobeda watches are witnesses to another time. In a few years, Soviet production will explode and catch up with other countries, thanks to cooperation and massive technology transfer, particularly with LIP. This Pobeda model from the Penza Factory with its red twelve and Bréguet hands is surprisingly refined.
