This has a large case (43mm diameter) in chromed brass with radiating grooves a little worn by age, a steel back, a gray and metallic grooved dial, large Arabic numerals beyond the railroad, with the exception of the 12 and 6 which are replaced by a rectangular index sending rays from its center. The small second at 6 o'clock has only four markers and the minute hands have blue reflections. It is a mechanical Pobeda watch specifying "sdelano v SSSR" (made in USSR). Wearing vintage watches necessarily means putting in parallel eras that were not originally made to be together. So, either the effect produced is stable, in which case we have a timeless design, or everything is reversed, fashion has turned and nothing is as before. This Pobeda is part of the second category. Originally it was a women's watch with an imposing case (43mm) in striated chromed brass giving the impression of silver hair or the rays of a dull sun. Men's wristwatches on the contrary were very small. In the 21st century it is rather the opposite, the shift has taken place, nothing is the same as before. This watch reminds me of the enigmatic song by the rock band Bi2, "le soleil noir" (2017 on the album "Horizon des événements" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7qyqtP4Yl4 ), of course the dial and the striated case are reminiscent of a sun that is not gold, the reversal of small/large values, the fact that nothing is the same as before, the fact that the television news only talks about the fall of Bashar Al-Assad today, everything refers to the Bi2 video clip. We must not believe that what seems immutable is necessarily timeless, it can disappear very quickly and nothing will ever be the same again, the song tells us. It's a watch that I put on quite by chance today and yet when I think about it, it's the one that suits me best. Adjectives: Reversed, Outdated, random, dated, destined
