Why customers love Serica?

With this 6190 California, I'm getting on the Serica train heading for the Silk Road. The choice of dial is not easy at all. Attracted first by the Denali 3,6,9,12 dial, I waited a long time before deciding and then the MSL versions arrived. It was a headache after setting eyes on the polar dial. Finally, it is the popular Californian dial that I chose. Serica hits hard with this model and its multiple variations. There is necessarily one to please everyone. This piece is incredibly detailed and its specs are incredible in relation to the price. It never leaves my wrist because it is so versatile. Its bonklip bracelet is super comfortable to wear and the passage on the end pieces allows you to change style and extend the wearing of this gada.

Stealthy like the S617 and as black as the black pearl, this 5303 has charm. Its atypical design is inspired by great achievements (Seamaster 300), yet it seems unique. The finish is excellent. The Soprod Newton movement is precise (-2 to -4s/d). The only downside is the handling of the crown which could be improved.

Well this is not my first watch far from it, nor my first diver, on the other hand a watch that gives me so much pleasure, this has rarely happened, and yet I love my watches ;) I will not give the specs again it is useless because you must already know them if you pass by here, on the other hand what I can tell you is that despite these 39mm on my 21.5cm wrist and well it is not at all ridiculous. it is a bodybuilder with finishes worthy of the greats. I took it with the Newton as caliber, because I have no doubt that in 30 years it will be a collector's item. ;) Otherwise it is really very pleasant to wear despite the knack that you have to take to put on the bracelet, on the other hand this bracelet is really great because depending on the heat of the cold the setting is a delight, a kind of micro adjustment. This Mi GMT MI Diver bezel is ideal for me because I set it to the time zone of my best friend in Melbourne, it's super practical. A real diver and a real brand that I think will go far.

The Serica 4512 Commando or how to make a "field watch" exciting! This is a discreet and efficient watch but one that does not lack character. Its case is simply brushed but its large bezel - brushed vertically and with a polished chamfer - gives presence to this watch with very contained dimensions (diameter: 38 mm and horn-to-horn: 46 mm). Simple, contrasting and symmetrical, its deep black dial is a success. I particularly appreciate the typology adopted, the elongation of the markers at each hour and the deformation created by the sapphire crystal. A fan of "broad arrow" hands, those of this Serica are brushed and generously filled with Luminova ensuring optimal reading whatever the light. The manual Soprod P24 mechanism that powers this watch is a model of precision. The generously sized screw-down crown ensures pleasant winding and contributes to the water resistance of the watch announced at 200m. I naturally associate this 4512 with NATOs but its original bonklip-type strap is very comfortable and allows for a change from the military register. What is the little detail that I prefer on this watch? Its bezel certainly contributes to the charm of this piece but what I prefer is this magical moment when the sharp minute hand is superimposed on the hour hand, the whole thing then takes the shape of a fighter plane that systematically makes me dream (see the photo)! In 2023, Rambo would surely go on a mission with a G-Shock but it would not have the charm of this 4512 Commando!

Beautiful watch, the color has evolved since the order and it must be recognized that it is a real success. The appliques bring texture and provide contrast with the dial. It is of formidable precision and the Bonklip bracelet very comfortable and elegant. It is without a doubt the most beautiful of my watches.

Gift for my 32nd birthday, this diver caught my eye when it appeared on watch forums and this desire to acquire it was amplified when I was able to try it at the Horel boutique in Bordeaux. I like its look, its hands, the color of the dial and the bezel that change color depending on the light, the fact that the brand name is not ostentatious, its screw-down crown very easy to use, its robustness, its Soprod M100 COSC caliber very well adjusted, its chamfers, ... a lot of positive points. Many watch lovers stop me at the store to look at it more closely and even try it on. I had a little more trouble with the Milanese mesh strap provided by the brand that I replaced with a sailcloth effect strap with folding clasp from the ARTEM STRAPS brand in Australia. Much quicker to put on. Perfect for this summer.

Where to start and how to be concise with this piece? Come on, I'll start. First of all, I gave myself a few months before writing this review, because I was afraid of being in a "honeymoon" with this watch and not being objective enough. 4 months later I'm still in the clouds. The proportions of the case (39 mm in diameter for 46.5 mm between lugs and 12.2 mm thick) are perfect, even for big wrists like me (19.5 cm) and the polished and brushed finishes, both circular or linear, especially on the lugs, are done with crazy accuracy. The large screw-down crown and the wide double bezel (ceramic/steel insert) bring the little muscular side, which this diver needs. And this crystalline blue, which gives its name to this watch, is magnificent. Sometimes gray, blue or green, it is resolutely modern and retro at the same time or "faded" or even "aged in the sun". The Broad Arrow hands and the soft iron cage that makes this watch antimagnetic completely contribute to reinforcing the vintage side. The midnight blue enamel dial is my only downside. Not that it is not beautiful, quite the contrary, it is bright and unique, but for me, it is simply not midnight blue. It is almost black and actually tends towards a deep midnight blue in the sun. If you are specifically looking for a watch with a blue dial then this is not the one, I think it is important to say that. I will finish by talking about the 20-16mm woven steel bracelet (it is not really a Milanese mesh for me) with "endlink" for which you have to "get the hang of it" but which is ultra-comfortable and allows a very fine adjustment that is so pleasant. The buckle, it matches the Serica logo (absent from the dial) and does it justice perfectly. Oh, I almost forgot to say that the Soprod M100 movement is COSC certified and that the accuracy of the watch is rechecked by Serica once assembled. Mine has a drift of 1-2sec over 7 days. I have to end with the famous quality/price/emotion ratio because having all this for €1,490 is just crazy. And if you've gotten this far (yes, I tried to be brief) then I ask you the question I ask myself all the time when I wear this watch: This watch with its finishes, its technical specs and the emotion it conveys would be at what price if it were from another major SwissMade brand? Double? Triple?
