The Ball brand is linked to the pioneers of the railroad. This brand was born following the head-on collision between two trains in Ohio. In search of a watch with a white dial, I set my sights on the Fireman Victory. I must admit that I fell in love with its silvery white dial with a clou de Paris motif, it gives a lot of depth and brightness to the watch. The little detail that I prefer? Probably the counterweight representing the brand's logo on the seconds hand! The luminance of this watch is very effective thanks to the brand's signature technology. Micro tritium tubes present on the dauphine-type hands and indexes. Being a big fan of steel bracelets, this one is of good quality and comfortable on the wrist. The dimensions of the case are 40mm in diameter and 11.6 thick. This watch has a very urban character and also a dressy side which makes it a versatile piece in my opinion. The watch is equipped with the Ball RR1103 movement (ETA 2824-2 or SELITTA SW200-1 base). On the solid case back we can see a train engraving recalling the origins of the brand. Concerning the weak points of this watch the clasp which is rather agricultural in use. I can also note the low power reserve of 38 hours which is below current standards.

I present to you my BALL Trainmaster Chronograph Pulsometer, which I acquired during the first lockdown. I was interested in the BALL brand after discovering images of the dives of the French freediver Guillaume Nery. He had a wetsuit with the BALL brand on his chest. I didn't know this brand. I discovered an American brand, technical, with a great story...problem! The brand is not marketed in France because of the tritium tubes it uses on almost all of its models. They have to be imported. I selected this chronograph with a Pulsometric scale because I was looking for a "Doctor's watch". The dial is a modern iteration of the Pulsometric scale chronographs of the 40s and 50s. This chronograph features a very well-adjusted Valjoux 7750, decorated by the BALL brand. The steel bracelet is very high quality, with its invisible double butterfly buckle. The crown is screwed down. The watch as a whole exudes quality. The polished-brushed finishes are well executed. Its 40.5mm diameter makes it easily wearable on thin wrists.
